@anotherbun similar thing happened to me. I received a notification for tax returns on saturday (even though i submitted them back in february?) and then once I submitted that, got another request for a finalized and legible copy of the tax return as well as W2s (sent those back in february too…not sure why they’re asking again). When I called yesterday they said if I submit those then I should have my package by June 1/2. basically, it will take 3-5 business days for you to receive your full package after you submit all required documents.

@calicoffee thanks for that helpful info. That would make much more sense than submitting a letter to an advisor that may or may not be responsive. (Some are great, some are not at all.) That seemed like a crap shoot to me.

FOR THOSE CONSIDERING APPEALING, please check to see if your portal will take it now since many reported it couldn’t be done before. And if you sent advisor a letter, try to upload it on portal now! This is different information than we had circulating before!
USC for 22.5k or UCLA for 10? (trying to justify the extra $$ lol)
lol UCLA for 10 without a doubt. 12k cheaper and basically there both about the same in prestige unless you have something particular about the school you like.

I know you spoke to your academic counselor but I would still email your academic counselor your appeal document anyway.
It’s a cover-your-a__ situation when you email them it. In life, never go off anything verbal (“but my academic counselor told me it would be fine”) because when it’s not fine, you won’t have anything to show in order to substantiate your position.
