Is your SAT score from high school?
Or while you were in community college?
@Brandon1225 yeah, i finished the calc series, differential equations during winter and linear algebra right now during spring (my cc is on quarter system). took physics, mechanics, and e&m, currently taking thermo, waves and fluids. i think you have a better chance than me since you’re TTP though!
Does anyone know when we hear about how our credits transferred? I know someone here said it takes 3-4 weeks, but is that true? I wish it was shorter lol
@NonTraditional2
It was my SAT during high school (junior year I believe).
I took SAT again during college but did worse because I was studying for college classes so I didn’t submit that cuz it was a 1180 (lol yeah I hate this test)
Just remember SAT doesn’t weigh too heavily in transfer admissions especially if you are a junior because you can get merit scholarships like the USC Transfer Merit Scholar with a 1240 lol.
Do your best in your college classes and have a story with EC and upward trends and that should be enough for the admissions committee I think.
@idislikemyself Dang it looks like you have everything on the checklist with a good gpa and still got rejected I was able to take everything except physics 2 with a 3.75 gpa but hopefully ttp will help !
@alwayshp394 thank you!
Accepted into Marshall, 3.7 GPA from UVA, applied because I was rejected from McIntire earlier this year, they offered me Spring 2021 admission instead of fall so that probably means I have to spend at least 1-2 semesters more to graduate…don’t know what should I decide, Marshall or stay… Also congratulations for those who also just got in and good luck for those who haven’t heard back.
@makeupyourmind Negative, I got accepted today for Spring 2021 with CHSPE as a sophomore.
I got an SGR at the end of April. I don’t have the COVID-19 box on my portal like I before. I do have “for updates on COVID-19 and the USC community”. I know this doesn’t mean anything but does anyone else have that change? Just kind of curious. Congrats to all that have been accepted! Fight on!
Do you guys know what USC’s doing for the fall? Are they still gonna do remote learning? What about clubs and stuff?
@mlplover69 i’m wondering the same thing - my counselor said i wouldn’t be able to see until orientation which is lowkey BS for transfer students deciding between multiple schools (I can’t afford USC if I’m going to have to do an extra semester and was admitted as a junior spring admit)
@jelly2122 wait are you serious?!?! that’s not cool I have to find a way
I noticed the COVID box at the top gone too. I’m guessing a big wave of decisions is either coming today or tomorrow given the 31st is a Sunday.
@shawnwahi Did your portal just update?
@usctransfersquad What do you mean by just update? This morning there was a box on the top of the portal saying due to COVID all decisions would be online. Now that box is entirely gone.
mine has been gone for a week and I havent got a decision
@mlplover69 You can try the USC Transfer Planning Guide. It is similar to assist.org that it will generate a document to see which courses match the Graduation requirement. I got spring admit so I have the same concern. I think the GE part is very helpful but the major part depends.
My partner got in last week (5/21) and was asked to submit page 2 of his tax returns, which he did promptly. It still says “action required” on his FAST portal, even though he has submitted his document a week ago. The document is still not received and he has not received a financial aid summary because of that. What do you recommend he does?
Thanks @Laneyhlc by the way!
So I am trying to access the housing portal and I am trying to do everything I can to create my account, but I’m not getting the email I need to create my account lol. I guess I am going to wait some more Is anyone else in my situation too?
Hi,
If anyone is interested, I was accepted into Dornslife yesterday for political science as a sophomore w/o TTP.
Extracurriculars: tutoring
GPA:4.0
Applied to: Only USC
Also, does anyone know how hard it is to switch majors within Dornslife? I’m thinking of changing to biological sciences if possible.
