@dsl123 - I think decisions will be delayed based on the new ICE annoucement to remove International Students for on-line classes. @CADREAMIN - what do you think?
I honestly have 0 hope left for getting into Viterbi for CS. I think I’m going to get rejected off of one B in Calc 3. I want to start researching other schools to apply to this fall since this was the only one I applied to as a freshman , but I can’t do it until I get rejected lol.
@transfer2024 - yikes, I hadn’t thought about that! Perhaps they will admit more students to cover the international students that will drop??? So you say I have a chance??

Do you guys know what the next steps are? I didn’t recieve the You’ve been admitted email, but just the status update email so far.
Just got accepted… right after I posted my depressing comment. Viterbi - CS, sophomore transfer, Spring 2021
My son was admitted today to Computer Science for Fall 2020 as a sophomore.
He had a 4.0 gpa from a CA community college, however did receive a “B” grade in a Calc 1 course he took at a 4 year university during his senior year of HS.
Not sure if this course was counted towards his transfer GPA since it was taken during HS.
He’s completed all of the math; Calc 1,2,3, Linear Algebra, differential equations. He only completed one Physics course & has completed about 5 GEs and AP credit that probably won’t apply towards anything.

yay @MagicBus !!! Great news indeed, sooo happy for you. I have a recent CS grad, was a springboard it was to amazing career choices and a fab Trojan network.
Congrats to all those admitted today and recently! Hang in there - you will receive info on how to get things set up soon - main thing is your USC login id so you can access all the online systems like OASIS, FAST, billing stuff, transfer credit report etc. - btw the TCR can take awhile to update. If a spring admit, it will be a longer while.
@CADREAMIN Thank you! I was hoping he’d get admitted for Spring 2021 but we’ll take Fall 2020. Definitely excited to join the Trojan family.

Got into Viterbi for Mech E, Spring admission. Little bummed about that last part.
Anybody considering taking spring admission or know of any reason to do so? Until today I had plans to go to UCSD in the fall.

@freshmanreject I’m a spring admit to Viterbi as well and USC is the only uni I applied to as a freshman. Although it’s my only option, I do think that spring admission might be a good thing considering that fall is almost all online. I’m not saying that Spring 2021 is not going to be online, but hopefully, it isn’t as I’d rather not have my first semester at USC be online anyways.
@Nyooki that’s a good point. I’m still not sure if i wanna delay my graduation for that tho, especially because spring could be online/hybrid as you said.

For people who got admitted for spring 2021…what are your plans for the fall? Personally I had signed up for general ed classes that would transfer over to CSU’s and UC’s (incase I wasn’t accepted to USC) but they aren’t classes that are necessary for my intended major at USC. Not sure what to do in the fall anymore.
