2020-2021 USC Transfer

@alfredm nope, just the SGR, hopefully they see the winter grades i sent today and accept mee

@py9877201162 congrats! are you a CC or 4-year applicant?

I’m a non-TTP junior transfer with a 3.84 gpa applying to Marshall. I did not get a SGR nor was I rejected. An admissions counselor emailed me two weeks ago asking for an updated transcript (the one I sent didn’t have my 2019 fall grades on it), so I know they’ve looked over my app. I also submitted my midterm grades a week ago.

For anyone who got an acceptance, how much time do you have to commit or decline?

I currently attend a CC:)

@HoneyBunchez How did you send them your midterm grades? Im trying to do the same.

Intent to enroll by June 1 with deposit $300

@franzgzlz24 on the dropdown menu near the bottom of the screen in the portal is an option to upload a “mid year transcript” so I clicked this and uploaded a pdf of my midterm grades

i’ve been doing some digging in last years transfer thread and someone mentioned that they send out regular transfer (non-TTP) about 3 weeks after TTP decisions. either way it looked like a majority were released in mid may

@HoneyBunchez oh ok thanks! Was it just like a screenshot of you Spring 2020 midterm grades?

I am a freshman TTP who just got in!

Also, I got my spring grades request from email. Does your guys portal look different if you got SGR? Mine looks the same

What is the TTP program? I’ve read up a little bit about it but to me, it just seems like those who are legacies get a bit of an advantage. Not trying to come off as rude or anything like that but I’m just trying to understand more about it

@TransferGuy08 Yeah it is basically that. Very rare cases I hear about non-legacy getting them, but the people I know who got them were legacy

If bored but interested in TTP, there is an entire thread on it:

They are not all legacies, it is also for people who have great stats but applied to a major that was full, and who they believe are likely to attend (conveyed well in freshman application). Many TTP’s do find out early, but there are some that don’t hear until after their quarter or semester ends in June because they may need more info. The early admit TTPs may have had strong HS records, so all they needed was the midterm grades and if strong, they get in quickly without WGR or SGR.

No one is rejected until later May. They tend to come out all at once.

Acceptance is by June 1st. For those that don’t hear till later May it will be 2 weeks or June 1st, whichever is longer. For those finding out after June 1st, you have 2 weeks to let them know.

It is ok not to get an SGR! They may have simply have everything they need. Plenty are accepted without an SGR throughout this process.

Hi! I am a first year at a quarter system school applying to Viterbi and just received a WGR today. Can I expect a SGR in the near future?

Hi guys, I have a question. If you got the SGR, can you send them your midterm report and hopefully expedite the process? The idea of getting a decision in JULY is just… too stressful :’(

@teenybee the email indicated final spring grades and you can send an unofficial screenshot or copy of your updated spring grades while the official transcript is on its way. The official transcript can take some time for processing so they want SGR recipients to send an unofficial as soon as they get the grades:)

@teenybee Depends on when you send your grades! The earliest you send them the closer you get to your decision

SCA applicant… no SGR, no portal changes. I know it could be another month and then some before I hear back but…I hope it’s not that long…
