@CADREAMIN I noticed you mentioned Marshall’s decisions are coming out first. Based on your past experiences, will Marshall continue to send out SGRs after April or today is the only day they notify people who got SGRs or Acceptance? Thank you so much??

Oh yeah, I actually meant that I received a request for my FINAL spring grades (after the semester has ended), but I was wondering if my MIDTERM report would help expedite the process and maybe get me my decision along with others this month or next month. Just the thought of having to wait until late-July is just really too much… ??

@teenybee I would presume to think that a mid-term report would serve to not be of hindrance. They are constantly checking applications and any positive updates from applicants would be greatly appreciated:) Also, good luck!! I do agree that it is a tenuous process but I hope that the waiting period will all be worth it:))
@dood523 I would assume yes:) From my understanding, ttp applicants got accepted/got a SGR, and non-ttp got SGR/got accepted as well
Marshall sends out acceptances throughout - no one should be reading anything into this first round of acceptances and SGR requests. There’s a long way to go for all schools…no school sends everthing at once and is done. You can’t imagine how these things sputter out over the next several weeks. It’s horribly slow but you can’t assume anything until you are notified one way or another.
Don’t let other’s news on here make you too low or keep you in state of chaos or flustered or edgy - if it does, get off of here and go find something else to do! It can be a really long time for some, so hang in there, be strong and find things to do everyday that make you feel positive, not in agony! There’s enough of that going on around for all of us outside our homes.
@hermit1214 I applied to Interactive Media and Games! Not one of the “traditional” SCA majors I guess haha… I had my interview last week and since then it’s been even more stressful ?
Has anyone that is not a TTP student been accepted yet? I’m currently a non-TTP rising junior applying to Annenberg (not from CC) and haven’t received WGR or SGR. I have about the average GPA so I’m not super confident on getting into Annenberg.
@yinhan I also had an interview two weeks ago for film production… but I didn’t get any SGR’s or anything like that

@hermit1214 I’m sure anyone who got the SGR got it for a reason (e.g. they haven’t completed the writing and math requirements, etc.) that is neither positive nor negative, and anyone who didn’t get the SGR won’t necessarily be rejected! I don’t think it’s indicative of a rejection if you didn’t get one. Positive thoughts to you!
@CADREAMIN Do most SGRs come in the first wave? I’m a junior applicant from an OOS 4-year school and was hoping to get a SGR. Is there a chance they’ll request more SGRs?
Did any other TTP kids not get spring grade requests or too? I met all of the requirements and everything but I’m seeing TTP people getting accepted or getting SGR’s and it’s making me freak out a bit because I still haven’t gotten anything.
No Spring Grades or Admissions Decision*
TTP Applicants do not hear all at once - depends on school and major. Plenty of TTP’s won’t get an SGR and will be accepted straight away.
They keep sending out SGRs all the way through the end of May!!! So during that last big round of acceptances just before the 31st of May (around the 28th) some will still get an SGR then, ugh (but still better than rejection letter in portal). Most of course will know one way or another by then, but point is, this can go on for awhile for sure for some.
Non TTP applicant here who didn’t receive anything last night and didn’t check this page until this morning to save my anxiety. Throwing something out there for the non TTP people who didn’t receive anything yet, I was about to freak out too when I realized they might just have everything they need from us? I’ve gotten straight As since freshman year (not a humble brag but will provide context to what I’m saying) and I feel that if they’re trying to gauge my future academic performance based off of the three years worth of grades I’ve given them, they probably wouldn’t need any more information to make that call? Not saying those who got a SGR aren’t consistent or anything, but just throwing out a theory for those of us who are still in the dark (and internally freaking out). I think this is a strong possibility.
plus, it’s literally only the first round! most non-ttp will have to wait. im here w you all though !
@teenybee well… my english requirement is in progress… But I did notice that most of the people that received an SGR or decisions are from Marshall, Viterbi or Dornsife. None from SCA yet.
