30 new messages when I checked - and nothing! lol.
Looks like the first wave is going to be next week
I checked the previous year, most of the Dornsife and marshall acceptance were released on the first.
@hermit1214 at what time?
@dood523 they started around 5:04 so i think its too late now
Lowkey kinda happy that Coronavirus made some colleges push back their date to accept your admission offer because now I can wait a little longer for my decision from USC
@NavyGuy2019 what was ur overall gpa tho
@puffkloud I had a 3.71 GPA from Pennsylvania State University.
I have 50 transferable units, so I am considered a sophomore transfer
I’ve heard nothing about a SGR
Also my financial aid status still says it needs stuff, despite having submitted it already… i’m starting to wonder if i have no chance.
Whens the next chance we could hear? They don’t usually release on the weekends do they?
@dood523 No, not on weekends. Most likely on Wednesdays or Fridays around 5pm PST.
Hey guys! I’ve been following threads from the 2019-2020 transfer class and I had a few questions. I’m a sophomore and I have completed the necessary Calc and Writing reqs with A’s in both. I am currently in Financial accounting but I have not done the two Econ classes or Managerial Accounting yet. Do you think the 41 units I applied with was too low? I’ll finish my spring semester with 63 total though.
Also, do you think not taking Econ and Managerial yet hurt my chances? I applied with a 3.92 GPA with strong essays and a LOC from my BUS Calc teacher. If anyone has any input let me know thank you! Especially @CADREAMIN because I’ve been following your replies for a while now. Thank you so much!
*Also wanted to note I am at CC, and applied to Marshall for Business Admin.
@grapesoda2 To be honest, it is still a little early to be worrying. They still have all of May to churn out those decisions. The second time I applied, my admissions counselor didn’t even notice that I was missing a document until May 7th. Does that mean he/they barely started giving my application a serious look then? Who knows. Here’s hoping to next week being more eventful, but maybe the virus is slowing things down by a week or so. Too early to say.
@“Prash Patil” Your 41 units are fine, but the fact that you’re taking 22 units might be a cause for an SGR. I was taking 21 units when I got my SGR (6 [yikes] years ago). The major course is calc/business calc, so if you’ve aced that and even got a stellar recommendation from the professor, that’s a good thing. Yeah, perhaps if you had completed an accounting class or two, that might have made you slightly more competitive, but you are still in a great spot. I am just slightly concerned with the overloaded semester, but you’ve completed the required courses, so maybe they will overlook that. Best of luck.
@dood523 Yeah, I’ve never seen anything on the weekends really. I did receive my decision on a Saturday, but it was marked with Friday’s date and this was back when they could mail stuff out.
Does anyone know what transfers tend to do for housing?
I have not received an SGR or decision yet, but I just submitted my final spring semester grades. Would it be same to assume that I will receive a decision sometime within May, and not after?
@freckledskylight I was wondering about that too. When I went to one of their Transfer Days, all of the transfer students on the panel were able to get on-campus housing. Does anyone else know more about this?
how long does it usually take to receive a decision after you send in your spring semester grades after an SGR?
