2020-2021 USC Transfer

Read earlier that Texas A&M University and the University of Texas will reopen for the upcoming fall semester.

I got an email update about USC orientation being mid-May, hopefully they give some info on the fall semester.

Marshall applicants!! have you done the accounting classes and how many units are you taking rn???

I just received a winter grades request option on my Upload Materials checklist. I’m a current freshman and already submitted my official transcript for the first semester. I was SGR’d on April 15th as well. Should I reach out to my advisor and ask him about this or just ignore it since I have submitted all my grades?

@erina19 I finished the Writing plus Calc requirements, but I’m doing Financial Accounting this semester. I wish I would have finished both Financial and Managerial before applying but oh well it wasn’t required. I’m taking 15 units this semester.

@erina19 Financial Accounting last semester, Managerial this semester, finish today  15 units now. wbu and are you is, oos or international?

Ugh, I am literally running out of patience lol

@seabee91 Orientation is Mid may? So what happens to the people that aren’t accepted yet by then?

I thought there are 3 orientations in the summer: June, July, and August

@historylover5 I’m sure there is more than one, but the email I received said mid-May!

Hey guys. So I’m currently not enrolled in any classes, so I can’t receive any WGR or SGR. Does this mean I’m guaranteed an acceptance or rejection by May 31st?

I haven’t received a WGR or SGR and didn’t do as well as I hoped in my winter quarter so I haven’t sent those in. Do you guys think I should?

@anervouswreck If you truly didn’t do well and they haven’t asked, don’t send them. But I see kids say they didn’t do well and they got one “B” lol. So it depends on if they really dropped or just one class kind of thing, and is it a class that matters, etc.

Wait for a decision is so tiring.

When are decisions (after sending spring grades) coming out

@robertogarzozi They don’t start looking at the SGR applications until late June

Honestly, If I don’t get a notification tomorrow I’m going to assume the worst

@sleeplessincali that’s not necessarily true. Last year I got a sgr around April 12th, then sent my grades on May 29th and got a decision on May 31st, so it is possible to still get accepted any time after you send your final grades.

@PrashPatil why? I dont even think a first big wave has come out yet tbh.

Don’t they have to guarantee a spot for the fall or spring semester for someone who got an SGR? Cause say the person got a 4.0 for the spring and had all the requirements done for their major. How could they reject that person?

@beachygirl28 There have been people that had a SGR, sent in a 4.0 or high spring grades, and still got rejected.
