2020-2021 USC Transfer

Have they ever been this backed up?

all i can say about this is it sucks being a transfer student lol

SCA – nothing. Last year’s SCA transfers heard back on the 3rd week of May.

this literally sucks dude

we still have till around 6:30

@ascendiox especially since COVID didn’t really affect freshman decisions

This is just ridiculous. Most of us need to know soon because if we get rejected, we need to commit to our backup schools and plan for that. Smh

Is anyone here going to UCI if they don’t get USC?

Is anyone going to LMU if they don’t get into USC?

@beachygirl28 Totally!! I’m so worried about finding housing and the longer we wait the harder it will be.

does anyone know which specific days of the week and what time admissions usually come out? I’m currently a NYU student and I need to make my decisions on housing for next year

@hosc21 The trend seems to be every Friday 5 pm PST to 6:30 pm PST.

Deciding between UCI and UCSD rn! Not sure honestly, hard to commit when I’m still thinking about USC in the back of my mind.

anyone trying to decide ucsd or usc for viterbi mechanical engineering?

Anyone else here going to NYU if they don’t get into USC?

@jdambrosi with the financial aid they’re giving to students right now, I doubt you’ll find many. there’s gonna be a significant decrease in NYU enrollment (both freshman and transfer) this year because of how they’re handling this virus situation.

NYU has already been notorious for bad financial aid, don’t think it’s just this year. Don’t forget many people that go to these top private/expensive schools can afford it so their enrollment won’t actually take the hits people read about.

@desertsolitaire thats so frustrating! i would do the same thing if i could afford to lose a deposit as large as the ones my backups are requesting. due to the pandemic, both of my jobs in my hometown have been shut down indefinitely and i live with a high risk individual, so its impossible for me to work safely right now. i cant afford to put down a deposit i might lose, especially when its hundreds of dollars. the whole situation is incredibly frustrating. i wish usc would be a little more efficient and sensitive to these kinds of situations :(((((

Nope, haven’t heard back yet. @anji22

@CADREAMIN I know but this year they aren’t even accepting appeal requests. Normally it’s hard to get extra financial aid, but not even accepting appeals and expecting people with an EFC of 0 to pay $70k a year is a little ridiculous. Those who can pay, great, but based on what I’ve heard from my friends who attend, the enrollment situation doesn’t look good for this fall.
