2020-2021 USC Transfer

@ejordan02 I’m so sorry to hear that! It’s already hard enough to transfer schools without other factors adding to the difficulty. We had some money saved in case of something like this and I’m grateful I was able to put a deposit down. Hopefully we’ll find out soon and can stop worrying!! Are you transferring from in state or out of state?

I’m waiting to receive my financial aid package from NYU. The max I’ve seen someone say they received this year in that College Confidential forum though is 8k in grants and another 2k in loans…

NYU is going to have bigger issues than most schools I would think, just by virtue of location. CA schools not so much. Maybe NYU needs the full pay students this year more than ever. idk just speculating, don’t know much about NYU.

nothing still? damn…

@desertsolitaire im transferring from oos, so im already a little nervous haha

i’m transferring Marshall and haven’t heard anything … so stressful

It seems no TTPs were over-turned which is typical, but people were added to TTP, don’t think they did that before during appeals.

I wonder if the people getting TTP are legacy?

Im stressing like crazy but what is TTP ?

I’m going to check again in two minutes and if it’s not out I’ll assume we won’t be hearing back for another week.

never mind its trojan transfer plan :)))))) team im losing my mind

It is getting frustrating. I’ve applied to other schools that also receive large numbers of applicants and have heard whether I was accepted or rejected from them. USC typically takes longer than most other schools, corona or not. Although I understand schools are struggling to take numbers into account, people are also struggling. No one is forcing us to apply here, we’re doing it because we want to, but at the same token, it would nice to not be in limbo, and have to do large deposits on other schools because this one is taking so long. Not only that, it’s not allowing us to find accommodations and housing in adequate time, although that more so applies to the SGR people. So while we should be understanding of the school, it’s reasonable for us to also be concerned and hope that the schools are understanding of our situations as well.

Nope. Nothing yet.

@Nazarzzzz I got into LMU! I’ll most likely go there if I don’t get into USC

Historically, is there a way to predict admission based on whether or not you receive a SGR?

@carsf27 Getting an SGR is not an indicator of admission.

@jaden29 are you a sophomore transfer?!?!

I’m also most likely going to LMU @jaden29 and @Nazarzzzz
Do you know if their financial aid stays t he same about every year?

I am a TTP student and am starting to feel like I’m going to end up getting rejected ? compared to every other TTP student already getting their acceptances

@grapesoda2 I honestly have no idea but I got rejected from Fafsa so I did the LMU appeal and they gave me like 2000 for just aid but I received a 10k scholarship. They didn’t give me a lot

Seems like nobody’s received anything today? Weird.
