@StephSavides thanks so much for that reassurance! S is SO close to putting down deposit for Cal!! He has messaged with a few kids on fb (still looking for roommate but hopefully that will all work out!), and is feeling ready to go out of his comfort zone and try something new. He has always loved UMich and imagined himself there, and most of his close friends are going there next year. But since this option has presented itself, it has made him rethink his enitre plan! I am excited for him and confident that he will do well there, and will find “his people”! He is definitely planning to rush, and also try out for club soccer, and he wants to live in Clark Kerr, so I think socially he will be setting himself up to be in the best possible position to make lots of friends! I am fully aware of the fact that we may be losing him to Cali…but if we have to move there eventually, I’m fine with that! 
We are actually moving to Chicago this summer for my husband’s new job, so I think we will be ready to be done with winter after living there for a few years! lol! Thanks again for sharing your opinion on Cal and the social scene! Really appreciate it!
