@MyaCocoa positive vibes from you very much appreciated
So glad you are back!
My d just had her wisdom teeth removed today, all went well, yay, but I haven’t caught up in my reading here yet
But I had to let u know I saw your posts from yesterday
And I agree with you completely, every point u made is spot on. IMO. FWIW lol
A good way to distract yourself is to check out Housing Options.
Paterno Fellow Aspirants can check out the Schreyer Dorms and think about their Global Application if they’re so enclined.
Or think whether you can afford Renovated East and want to walk that much.
Or what sort of room you want and what stuff will be brought from home, what stuff will be purchased new.
All can check out the cafeteria menus.
You can look at the intramural sports options, the conferences/lectures/films/activities on campus: what appeals?
Tomorrow the onslaught will start. And you guys are right, based on what’s happened so far, we must expect the system will crash, reboot, recrash…
Put on your plate armor.
So not to confuse things but my husband without telling me called admissions today (anonymously) and the person he spoke to insisted they are only posting once a day at 8 AM. This is not the first time he has called and they have told him this. My obsessive need to refresh the portal refuses to believe it so I will continue to ignore…but thought I would share with the group.
@sammomof2 I can’t help refreshing, either. I do it all night long, whenever I chance to wake up! It’s bad, I know. I’m now suffering from some state of disbelief as if those words I see will never change to anything else at all. Ever. Though intellectually I know that is not true.
Just to be clear, so as not to heighten expectations unduly: your child may not hear on Thursday. Rather, the roll out should start on Thursday and go on for a week so more students than the current trickle will hear starting today. With the caveat that this year hasn’t been going as planned … so, let us fortify ourselves with cupcakes, hot chocolate, and ice cream.
It sure has been a crazy ride this year, but everyone here is passionate about PSU and their own/child’s happiness - that’s a good thing. Wishing you all the very best in the next few days! Soda, jimmies and grinders.
