my daughter portal update today saying “your application has been update check back later”
now it says:

Please check your MyPennState profile regularly for updates to your checklist items. Once your checklist items are complete we will begin a review of your application.
All of her documents are in…I am beyond frustrated at this point

Applied in August. Got the status update message earlier. Now this?!?
It’s better than receiving a Waitlist Message but does not make any sense. Also, my apologies for referencing waitlisted messages. I know that message for everyone who received it was a huge disappointment.
Mine just changed to that as well! I don’t have any supporting materials. What does my decision have to do with other people’s application supplements??? Either you have my decision or you don’t. They could have easily posted that instead of this weird new update.

we have been completed since 9/7…seriously what is going on with admissions. If they dont want her just say it. Poor kid has been waiting forever. This is really not a good look for PSU

@MyaCocoa - call admissions and ask to be reconsidered for another major - he should get in. So sorry for the heartbreak… ask to talk to a real admissions counselor and ask what other majors are avail.

Changed back to this. went from a decision is made, to those two weird things back to where we started…
Maybe they were uploading the waitlist decisions today and accidentally changed everyone to the “decisions coming soon” message? And then they were trying to fix it?
WOW! This is laughable! Now the message is back to what it was before December 24th……

Maybe they are cycling through the messages leading up to the decision again. That’s the only thing that would make sense except that maybe they are really a mess!!!

Something strange is going on. Earlier my son had the “application has been updated. Check back later” message.
Then a few minutes ago it went to something similar to what some of you posted above about the checklist items (even though everything has been there for a long time!).
Now the message just updated to this:
“Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here.”
This is so strange. And my other son got the waitlist message. We are OOS.
