2024 college football thread

This is so interesting and sent me down a rabbit hole. I had no idea that my team has a general manager and certainly didn’t know his name. Our athletic director is a really strong presence on campus, which I imagine is why I didn’t know about the GM.

One thing I heard that is of interest to me is how NIL and such is going to change the landscape of college basketball AND football. Schools that have a big basketball presence but less so in football will be at an advantage in basketball as so much more of the NIL dollars can be spent on a school’s one marquee sport. I’m thinking a St. John’s or Xavier vs. a UT and an Alabama.
