I’ve been gone more than a week but am back and don’t see a thread.
Watching VT and Vandy right now. Kid from my kids’ HS has scored two TDs for Vandy. Close game.
Waiting for the Horns. Next week we have to travel to Michigan. But last year we went to Tuscaloosa and beat Bama so it’s doable. I am planning on going to a cc meetup next week and already have claimed the TV for the game, 10 a.m. Eastern. Let’s goooooo!
I went to the CU v North Dakota State game on Thurs night (Buffalos v Bison). It was a close one and CU hasn’t improved its clock management skills any. Luckily my friends’ tickets are right in front of two guys who know EVERYTHING about football, coaching, reffing, and thus could tell us anything we didn’t know, even if we didn’t care! (OMG they are annoying). I fear the Big 12 will not be kind to Prime and his sons this year.
I’m currently on a heart monitor for testing and I had to report why my heart was racing for over an hour on a Thurs night when I wasn’t exercising. I blamed it on bad reffing (really, if a girl in the 29th row can see the holding, why can’t the ref right in front of the play!), bad discipline of CU players, and bad clock management. I don’t think I’ll be watching much football this year if I fail this heart test.
Notre Dame won its toughest regular season schedule game against Texas A&M last night. The rest of the schedule is expected to be much easier for ND which might be undefeated during the regular season.
My guess is that even an undefeated Notre Dame will quickly be eliminated from the CFP (college football playoff) due to a lack of quality competition.
ND’s remaining regular season games are against: Northern Illinois, Purdue, Miami (Ohio), Louisville, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Navy, FSU, Virginia, Army & USC.
Notre Dame has too much talent for Georgia Tech. And I like Georgia Tech. Hope that Georgia Tech joins the Big Ten Conference (for the Atlanta area viewing & recruiting markets) if the ACC dissolves.
Initially, I thought that the Purdue game would be interesting-at least for the first half, but Purdue’s star pass rusher Nic Scourton (last year’s Big Ten sack leader) transferred to Texas A&M. (He was injured in last night’s Texas A&M game.)
