2025 Track Guy, Where Can I run?

So I visited 4 schools over the summer, 3 I liked Bing BU and Northeastern. Bing is the only one I’d have a remote walkon shot at so I’m kinda just looking everywhere to see what bites nd going from there academically atp. I also thought I was running like 15:00-15:20 this fall so I wasn’t rly anticipating having this much trouble looking around. + the NCAA roster cap debacle.

I’m getting basically the same thing from all of these D3 LACs and that’s just “get in and you’ll have a spot” so at that point there’s no real reason that I’m doing this all this research. beyond just trying to walkon for a D1 team for a known school. But I’m barely passionate about anywhere anyway so I feel like I should just run. Ig It’s researching them pretty much, and Ik these are good schools I’m just lost and I don’t want to waste mine or the coaches time having a lot of preliminary discussion for no reason.

But I’ve spoken to Connecticut College, Trinity, Bates, Haverford, Hamilton and Brandeis on the d3 side. I spoke to Lafayette and GW on the d1 side but Gdub was super preliminary conversation and Laf doesn’t rly have a spot left.

I’m undecided academically, I just want to go somewhere good for a 1460 SAT guy with solid ECs so I don’t feel like I gave up on myself academically while also continuing with the sport that I love.

i had such a bad plateau lol. should be better this winter but I know I’m running out of time. I’m trying to place top 15 at state but Ik that doesn’t mean anything until I actually have a reault down on the board.

Have you tried looking at runcruit and see what schools you match with? I’m sure you could run for a strong academic D3 team. If you train hard the sky’s the limit as far as your personal development goes. They tend to have really great distance squads, too.

Honestly with those times I’d suggest putting together a list leaving athletic recruiting out of the equation.

You can probably run at most D3 schools and club programs at D1, so just focus on a broad list that fits your academic and other preferences.

By all means, contact coaches where you think you might fit, but don’t use that to narrow your options.
