Colorado beats Georgia Tech in the final minute of the game. The game wasn’t very exciting until the last minute. CU scores its game-winning touchdown with less than a minute to play. GA Tech gets into field goal range in the final seconds, but the kick was blocked.
UMass was 0-12 last year and 29.5 point underdogs on the road at Rutgers, and won 37-21 last night in a game that was not as close as the final score indicated.
LSU is not the only school that has guys who were drafted and/or who went to NFL camps on their rosters. IMO this is all the NCAA’s fault for not grandfathering 2026 grads in the move to 5 in 5. We wouldn’t be having this issue today if they had.
AFAIK, all 2026 grads who sued for another year of eligibility have won. So there’s that too. What a mess.
LSU roster for tomorrow’s game due this afternoon/evening.
I want to put in a defense of UT in regard to this roster thing as I heard a podcast that equated UT’s one guy with what’s going on at LSU. The one player who is back at UT, Cole Hutson, played his career at UT and never unenrolled from the school as he was working this spring toward his MBA. He did an NFL tryout, but never played in a game or signed a professional contract. LSU is getting other SEC players who didn’t go to LSU or enter the transfer portal and signed NFL contracts and played in NFL games.
From CBS Sports: “Members of the Class of 2022 have been put in a difficult position as the rules seem to change around them every few weeks. At one point, every member of the Class of 2022 was granted a blanket waiver to return to school. That was later overturned, once again throwing players into limbo. One coach told CBS Sports that their advisors suggested the best way to approach any eligibility case was for a player to file a lawsuit and just see what happens.” That’s what Hutson and others did.
I’m here to whine! I purchased tickets for us to go to the UMD/VT game, at $200 a piece, to be social with friends. However, parking wasn’t available when I purchased the tickets, and now it appears to be SOLD OUT. I also don’t know how to secure our actual tickets, but I’m sure I can figure that out before game day. I’m not sure what we will do about the parking
We’ve always lived with the refs - well until tennis and the baseball strike zone changed.
But the right thing here, assuming the tv clock was accurate, is for WMU to be given the win as if the last play didn’t exist because the game was over.
I like Kyle Whittington. I think he’s a great hire.
