Yeah I took 6 AP classes. Wasn’t horrible at all. I just dont’ understand why you want to take 5 when all of those AP’s you’ve taken eliminated SOME of the weightload, be it GE’s or requirements or whatever. Just take 2-4 Classes a quarter. I’ll probably be taking 3. Why 5 anyway? What’s your motivation?

i don’t got much money…so i wanna graduate early…don’t really wanna take out loans either… lol

Take 3-4 classes. 5 is overkill. It’s like high school all over again

cmon your in college you should party and sniff some coke bro

^hehe. what about four classes? is that ‘normal’?

yea thats normal…
next year im taking five classes that are 22 credits in total aaaaaaalll riight

When do you want your funeral to be? Can I give your eulogy?

hmm… yea now that i think about it, 5 classes is impossible since i have work study…i should keep it to 4 max.

^you’ll prob fill his eulogy with rhetorical questions.

“Was Ric REALLY a man?”

Lolololol!

5 classes = 20 units. i took 21 and that was overkill but i got through it with flying colors, although i do not recommend it for anyone (esp. if the classes are all math/science like mine). if you want, you can try and sign up for a bunch of classes and drop the one you don’t like. but definitely do not take 20 units with work study. i guarantee you will die. some have done 18 with work study but their gpa’s suffered.

its 22 units or grad in five years :(

ric: you can’t spread them out?

i dont think so since most classes are in a sequence ie MAE 23 MAE 24 etc

you’re saying 12 units a quarter wont cut it for 4 yrs?

for 4 years with 12 quarters a quarter you would only get 144 credits and you need 184 to graduate

IRAN.4, how are you at all qualified to advise ihavenolife on how many classes to take?

184 @ ERC or what? First all, it helps with AP credits. I have 47 units going in so…that’s how.

You can get away with 12 units a quarter only if you have enough credits coming in. AP/CC/IB, etc.

:) Life is sweet. I’m going to coast my next three years with 12 units a quarter. Hopefully, no bad repercussions from that when I apply to post-undergrad.

However, for your first quarter here at UCSD, 12 units may not be bad, even if you don’t have any credit coming in. Or take at least one or two easy classes. It is tough adjusting, and while most of the classes you take your first quarter are easier than the other classes, it’s still tough adjusting. I thought I wouldn’t have trouble; boo, wrong. Assume the worst, and try to give yourself a break. If you can handle it fine, take 16 units your winter quarter, and then if that’s still too easy for you, you can try tacking on another class.

4 classes isn’t “too much” is it?
