<p>This looks like a traditional music program to me, with a lot of emphasis on entrepreneurial training and advocacy for music/education of audiences. The 21st century in the title seems to refer to the need to do things a little differently in this day and age, beyond promoting oneself with CD’s and online videos.</p>
<p>It’s so cool that these people have donated yet another $15 million to the School of Music. Judson Green is a former CEO of Disney Theme parks, an econ major with a passion for music. His primary motivation for donating to the School of Music? He met his wife Joyce, a music major, in a music class at DePauw. This is just as much about their love story, and it’s connection to music education. Generous, and sweet!</p>

<p>Greg Sandow doesn’t write much about 21st century music (or 20th century for that matter) other than film scores and someone playing Bach backwards. Does he know anything about “new music”?</p>
<p>This “revolution” seems to consist mainly of 3 new courses on being an entrepreneur, new venues, audience outreach, all of which are being done all over the place.</p>
<p>Music graduates need to make their own opportunities. But from the comments on some of these articles, many so called entrepreneurs are still playing for free and working a day job.</p>
