I usually score around 1800s-2000s. Pretty big range…

But my scores usually are:

CR: 550s-650s
M: 600s-700s (low 700s that is)
W: 650s-750s

My goal:

CR: 700+
M: 750+
W: 750+

Are these numbers attainable goals? I’ll be taking the PSAT and I guess I prepare with SAT materials…

So I know a lot are recommending Dr.Chung for math. But how about CR or W? I’ve been using Barron CR. But it seems to only get me to 600s. Is there a Dr.Chung-like for CR or W?

And I do want to say, just because I’m young does not mean I have time. Because those are my goal for my junior SAT scores. For senior SAT scores I really hope to get a 2300+.

for a rising sophomore i would not suggest taking it tons of times to increase your superscore. prepare for the psats this year and next. use the bluebook summer before junior year and use all the recommended books too. then take the sat three times for real: january of junior yr, march, and october of senior year if necessary. because you will gain an better critical reading ability and learn higher math and grammar simply through school. good luck

@goldring2012.
I agree. But I guess I thought maybe I’ll prepare with SAT materials instead of PSAT?
And three times? Is it true that if you take the SATs more than twice, it looks really bad for colleges? (Sorry, I heard it from somewhere).

Three times is fine, thats what a lot of people do. It depends on if you take it at the beginning of your senior year, depending on whether or not you are satisfied with your junior scores. If you took it more than 3 times than that would look bad

Although prep books and programs are great they are too expensive. What helped me most on the PSAT/SAT/ACT was repetition. I came across this app called SAT Daily on the android. It is immensely helpful. It’s new, but I downloaded it and was amazed. It gives you new question, new vocabulary word DAILY& new tip weekly. This kind of constant exposure really helps. I’m sure it will boost your score on SAT/ACT as well. & I scored in the top 2 percent. Search SAT Daily in the android market for it.
