2210 a good enough SAT score?

Hi,
I am an international student and I got a score of 2210
(CR: 690 Writing: 720 Math: 800)

I am especially worried about the reading section,
beacuse some people said that reading score should be above 700
for competitive schools.

I am thinking of applying to schools such as Brown, Duke, or JHU

Should I retake?
and what is the latest date I can take the SAT for regular decision application?

thx in advance

People certainly do get in to those schools with comparable scores, but another 20 or 30 points on the critical reading would put you just a couple of notches higher. Do some RC work over the summer, and if you feel that you’re improving, then retake the test. If, after some hard work, you still can’t break 700 consistently, let your scores stand (and maybe think about the ACT as a freebie alternative…lots of people do better on the ACT Reading if they’re fast enough to finish the section…remember, you don’t ahve to send in ACT scores if they’re not better).

Depending on the schools, you can take either the November or December test for regular admissions. Check the admissions infor for the schools you’re interested in…dates will be posted, though you might have to dig a bit.

=) I got the same exact score. In each section.

lol runforfun, what schools will you be applying ?

If all of your extra curriculars are great, and you’re confident you can do better, retake.

Otherwise, your time would be better spent doing extra curriculars.

Being a club president or having a lot of extra community service hours looks better than a 20 or 30 point increase on your SAT

thank you. anyone else ?
