2230->2310->239 psat: possible to get >=2370?

do you think it’s reasonable that i can get 2370 or above if i take it in november (a reputed easy month) of next year, and that i can get 2380 or above if i study a TON over the summer? i didn’t prepare for my two SATs at ALL, and my PSAT prep amounted to 5 W sections and a vocab list the morning before

of course you can. the sat is merely an assessment of how prepared you are to take the exam and to a lesser degree your guessing skills.

what does your title mean? did you take the psat three times? if your psat score is 2390, it’s very likely you can get a 2400 or at least 2350+ if you put in a bit more practicing.

what my title means is, and i suppose i should elaborate a bit more on this, is that:
may 2010 sat (soph) - 2230
june 2010 sat (soph) - 2310
psat (junior–this year) - 239

in that case, if you’re aiming for a perfect score, go ahead and take a few more practice tests until you’re confident you can get a 2380+ or whatever you want. anyway, the bottom line is practice makes perfect. that’s all i can really say. psat and sat scores generally correlate, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the next time you take the sat you get a score you want, perhaps after a little more practice and confidence-building. good luck!
