2290 with low CR breakdown?

I am an Indian female and junior and I am planning on applying to Georgia Tech as well as a few other schools (Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, UGA, Rice, Emory, UNC- Chapel Hill) to major in biomedical engineering.
I am very much opposed to attending an Ivy League (or equivalent) because the tuition would be very high.

Here are my SAT stats from November (2nd time):
2290 composite
CR - 710
W - 780
M - 800

I am afraid that my CR is low. Should I retake the SAT just to superscore my CR?

Your CR is decent enough and your composite is good enough for all the colleges that you’re applying to. Don’t retake and spend the rest of your time working on the other parts of the app.

Best of luck!

@studyislife Yeah a 710 is fine. Also, you said you were opposed to Ivies because of the high tuition. However, all private universities and out of state publics (depending on your current state of residence), have the same amount of tuition as an Ivy, give or take a couple thousand per year. Since your test scores are set, I think it’s time to discuss with your parents about what you can do to afford college. Best of luck!

Alright thanks for the input! I’ll focus on other aspects of my college admission, like GPA and stuff. @anotherdude @basedchem
