<p>I just got the Das Model S Silent Ultimate myself (Cherry MX Brown switches).</p>
<p>For those of you who are questioning my sanity and why I’d even spend $100 on a keyboard, mechanical keyboards are vastly superior to today’s cheap membrane keyboards that you see everywhere from the standard Dell keyboard to the Logitech G19. They offer tactile feedback (and if you go for the non-silent with Cherry MX Blue switches, you get a “clicky” audio feedback along with tactile) when you type and don’t feel “mushy”, and are simply amazing to type on. Given how much time I spend at my keyboard every year, this is definitely a great investment for me.</p>
