My daughter’s profile: 2400 SAT (800/800/800), 790 & 760 in the two SAT subject test. AP scores in 3 classes are 5, 5 and 4. She does DNA research in local medical school under guidance of associated professor and in process of authoring a paper on research outcome with fellow researchers/professor, founder of a non-profit group mentoring less fortunate kids in town, led the team to get several $ grants from leading fortune 50 companies to support their cause, leader of mock trial team, leader of model UN team in school. The only issue I see is her un-weighted GPA is 3.65. However, maintaining A in all classes in senior year (has finally realized that one should take school classes seriously enough to keep the GPA up…) He has applied to several top schools.

I’m sick to my stomach about her chances of getting into any of the IVY league schools or Stanford. Given above profile, would appreciate any insight others may have into her chances of getting accepted to these top schools. I’m sick to my stomach thinking that she will get disappointed getting rejection letters from top schools. Thanks for sharing your thoughts…
