?? :/

Hello,
I am having a hard time trying to figure out what to major in. Is it true that females have an advantage in applying to the business school as opposed to the nursing or education schools because less girls apply there? Also, how easy is it to change from say the business school into the education or nursing schools? I am interested in business but I also love kids and currently am a tutor so i am definately considering teaching. The only thing is that I dont really think that right now I am truely passionate about one subject like math or physics to be a teacher. I do like english though. Anywho, your opinions and suggestions are greatly apreciated! Thanks

Then you could go undeclared.

I don’t know how declaring a major works at Boston College though.

honestly, don’t apply under a program you’re not actually going to end up staying with. That always ends in trouble. If you do get into that program, you’ll end up having to go through the whole application process again just to switch schools, and that is a total pain in the ass. If you’re good enough to get into the school, you’ll get in. I’m not saying this is what youre doing, it’s just something to avoid.

Personally, if you don’t know, i’d go with arts and sciences.

If you are AT ALL interested in business, apply to CSOM (carroll school of management). It is very possible to transfer out of CSOM after your first year, if you become uninterested in business, but if you apply to A&S (arts and sciences) and then decide that you want to do business, it is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE to switch schools. I believe that the acceptance rate when trying to transfer from A&S to CSOM is about 10%, while the rate the other way around is nearly 100%.
