250 word short answers

<p>Are these supposed to be written like an essay? I mean, take UMich’s for example. It asks us to write about an experience that taught us about diversity and then talk about why that made us a better fit for UMich…all in about 250 words. </p>

<p>Are you just supposed to ditch the literary style you’ve learned and just answer the question in a first person paragraph?</p>

<p>Yea I wrote mine like an essay, just condensed. I was ablt to use the literary styles and techniques that I learned in class. Both of my admission essays were like this =]. It was a little hard at first for me to answer a response in 250 words bc I am wordy. I would break a prompt like you had into two paragraohs and answer the question. Hope this helps =]</p>

<p>If you’ve learned how to only write a 5-paragraph literary analysis, you should abandon that structure for every essay you write. The essay style most people use is some form of narrative. If you don’t know how to write with different structures, you should read some sample essays.</p>

<p>i wrote out my answer without counting words and it ended up at like 350 words.
even then it seemed short! </p>
