Hello everyone. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations from those that are kind enough to read this and respond. What are some other things I should take into consideration if I make this move?

I’m interested in attending the University of Hawaii Manoa in 2013 or 2014 for a second bachelor’s in engineering after getting out of the military. I’ll be using VA benefits, and I have a considerable amount of savings due to multiple deployments so I won’t have any debt after graduation. Savings should still be solid even after all this is done. Estimating to take about 3 years to complete due to lack of lower level engineering courses (i.e. calculus I, II, III, calc based physics, etc.). Ultimate goal is to find a job in engineering in Hawaii and to stay there for as long as I can. Difference of non-resident fees and what the VA benefits will pay for tuition has been factored in for this move and is a non-issue. No debt, no family, no commitments.

Reasons for a second bachelors in Hawaii:
- 1st degree is not something I want to do as a career post military (non-engineering degree)
- Really enjoy math and technological advancement
- Not interested in a MS degree. Would rather stay as broad as I can and not limit/specialize in a certain flavor of engineering.
- Worked in the mil aviation community and would really enjoy continuing working in that realm of engineering after graduation.
- Want to be able to enjoy my hobbies on my free time, which are mostly based around the beach/water.

Thanks in advance.
