<p>Is he talking about the RD round? I think they start reviewing your application after it is complete, and if the mid year report is needed to complete your applicaiton, then yes, colleges start reviwing apps after the mid year reports come in. When your application is completed does not affect your chances, so don’t worry if mid year reports get sent a little late.</p>
<p>i dont think that they have even started evaluating apps yet cuz they need like a month to sort out all the apps that they get and they also have to get people interviewed

<p>They look at your numbers, grades, etc. If you clearly won’t get into Penn despite stellar recs, essays, etc, they throw out your app right away. This is a very small portion of the applicant pool – I wouldn’t worry if you have 550+ SATs. After they throw these out (they keep athletes and legacies and development cases in), they have “second round elimination”.</p>

<p>oh crap, what if you have not so stellar sat II scores, but you’re retaking in jan? by the time they get those results, the 2nd round elimination should be over? so if they already eliminated you, would they then reconsider you?</p>
<p>It is rare that they would reject you based on your SATII scores. How bad is “not so stellar”? If you indicated on your application that you are retaking your SATIIs and the scores are holding you back, I would guess taht they will wait and see what you get.</p>
<p>I wanted to indicate it on my app, but you couldn’t go beyond 2006, so yea, they don’t know that I’m taking 2 more. There were some issues on that test date, so I ended up not being able to take the test I wanted, so I had to take the physics one instead, and of course I didn’t study for that one at all and only got a 640. I also took both math tests and got 750+ for them, but I still have to take the french test in order to fulfill the language requirement, that’s why I’m nervous. should I email them? I’ve also applied for Huntsman and I think they look at Huntsman applicants first, so I’m kinda unsure right now.</p>
