What can I do in this year before I apply to improve my chances?

GPA: 3.81 (rough estimate: I don’t have exact with me–> but its gotta be between 3.81 and 3.85)

Class Rank: 10/52 (again, minimum–> I’m guessing more like between 6-10/50)…but I’ve heard that class rank doesn’t matter at small schools since GPA differentials are minimum…my counselor thinks I walk on water if that helps (aka she likes my ECs to the point of stalker-obsession)

One of the best public high schools in AZ

Grades: all classes are honors, no AP or IB, most rigorous courseload
Freshman Year:
A-'s in English, History, Geometry
A’s in foreign language
B+'s in electives (music, dance) and Bio
–> 3.6ish GPA (minimum)

Sophomore Year
all A’s in english, history, Advanced Algebra, foreign language, beginning physics, dance, german II
one A- in music
–> 3.99 GPA

Junior Year
A-'s in english, history
A’s in every thing else: advanced physics, beginning calculus, beginning graphic art, German III
–> 3.91 GPA
2nd semester grades obviously can only come out after the school lets out…but I really doubt anything is going to change

SAT: 2120 (CR–670, Math–690, Writing–760): but since my scores on the PSAT were lopsided backwards (aka my highest on the PSAT was my lowest on the SAT)–I’m going to retake it

I got a 29 on the ACT at the end of sophomore year, but my proctor was deemed to be terrible, so I get a refund to retake the test, which means that I’ll do that in Feb.

ECs are good (the only thing in my application that is actually good, i think): piles of environmental policy work, a load of speech and debate accolades, began a charity organization to benefit children in Mexico; a load of accolades for the charity/environmental work

I really, really want to go to TASP (but, we’ll see about that!)
other summer programs: LEAD, math programs: mathcamp, PROMYS, Ross (?), Stanford University math camp (SUMaC)

I want to major in: environmental something (policy, natural resources, engineering…etc.)

Schools that I want to improve my chances too: cornell (I REALLY like cornell), rice, emory, mich, berkeley
