What’s happening with Dr. Sadoway next year? I’ve heard conflicting reports about whether he will teach or not next year. I’ve also heard he’s an amazing teacher, so I would like to have him. Also, does he only teach one semester, and, if so, which?

He’s taking a sabbatical. He currently teaches the fall session of 3.091, so unfortunately, you won’t be able to have him as the 3.091 prof, at least not in the immediate coming year. You should be able to find old lectures online somewhere, though. He’s been teaching that class for ages.

Unfortunately, I’ve heard that he won’t be teaching 3.091 even after he returns D:

Granted, I never had him and took 5.112 so I can’t really comment on his teaching but of course the OCW lectures are always there.

Yeah, MIT OCW has his lectures in the OCW scholars section.

Is it confirmed that he won’t be returning to 3.091 in 2012 onward?
