I have a question on the 3/2 programs at schools. sorry if college life is not the right category but I was not able to find a more fitting one. If i go to a liberal arts college like Pepperdine, am I able to get a degree in a buisness course the first 3 years and then a degree in engineering at USC the next 2? Or do I have to get my first degree in Physics, Chemistry, ect? I want to do engineering, but I also want to do buisness. Any other recommended schools? Thank you!
You need to take math, physics, etc. at the 3 school, which may or may not restrict your choice of major there.
So getting a buisness than an engineering is possible with a 3/2 but I may have to take extra classes if I want to do it? Thanks for the info
Pepperdine specifically requires that 3+2 students do a BA in natural science there, unlike some other “3” schools that do not require a specific major. So it looks like you cannot major in business there as part of the 3+2 program.

Thanks ucbalumnis, do you know any respected schools that do allow buisness/engineering 3/2 or any idea where I can find schools that would allow it?
Is there any particular reason you’re looking at 3/2 schools? You could go to any school that offers degrees in both business and engineering, then double major (in 4 or 5 years). You could also just major in engineering and choose to get an MBA later in life.
Better to just major in engineering. You can take your out of major electives in business or relevant H/SS like sociology and economics to get some basics of business topics.
At least one poster has written that s/he is suspicious of engineering job applicants with lots of business courses, apparently a signal that engineering is more of a stepping stone than true interest.
