3.5 GPA at an Illinois Community College through 41 credit hours, Where can i transfer?

I didn’t apply myself in High School, barely graduated, took a year off and became an Emergency Medical Technician and eventually decided that i could do better. Since then, i have been an A-B student. Most websites i have come across state that i don’t need to transfer my poor high school grades, because i know have 41 credits.
My overall goal is to transfer to a great university (preferably not in Illinois) majoring in either Neuroscience, Psychology, or Nursing.
Now that i am working to my full potential, I feel as though i can succeed at whatever school i get into, theres just the getting in part…
Any Suggestions? Where can my 3.5 take me? and what could i possibly do to be more attractive on an application?

Schools i’ve been looking into include: Arizona State, Loyola (Chicago), and Baylor University but am open to virtually anywhere in the U.S.

Financial situation? How much can you pay?

What does the Transfer Advisor at your CC suggest? Pay a visit to that person, and get some advice. His/her whole job is to get people into 4-year institutions that are good matches for their needs and goals.

My financial situation is average, but as far as schooling is concerned, my grandfather has agreed to help. He did the same for my sister at Depaul University in Chicago, which is about 35,000/year

My CC’s transfer advisor is basically all of the general counselors. They seem to only recommend or mention schools that they had a credit guide sheet for… basically all colleges within one-two hours driving distance. When i mentioned i was interested in Arizona State, she pulled up their website and seemed quite overwhelmed. Very friendly, but i think they are zoned in on six or so schools students at our CC usually go for

Google the Common Data Set for your school list. Section D shows what they look at for transfers. You may need to get to 60 credits before schools ignore your HS info. Also, ASU costs $40K for an OOS student.
