A little about me: I’m a quirky kid; I love to get my hands on something, and when I get interessted in something, it devours my life. I LOVE Robotics intently and have commited my life to this field. I’m also a Computer Sci geek and love computer software. I currently run Gentoo Linux on my computer with no trace of Windows on it all. I have 5 computers in my room alone.

EC’s: As predicted, I was involved in US FIRST Robotics since I was a freshman. I went from Head Programmer to Assitant Project Manager, and am now the President. It’s rough because it takes up my life wholeheartedly. Currently, I’m trying to raise the remaining $19,000 from corporate sponsors to be able to compete this year. Being President really taught me a lot about leadership, and is something I plan to wriet about in my essays.

Summer: I spent the past summer at Carnegie Mellon University’s Pre-College Program, taking courses in Advanced Comptuer Programming and Electrical/Computer Engineering. I got A’s in both courses. (WORKED MY TAIL OFF). After that, I spent a month at MIT doing an interneship with the MIT Media Lab. I worked on some robotics-related stuff. It was awesome!
In the past summers, I worked at companies doing programming and consulting.

Research:
Freshman - worked on computer hardware review site; researched new trends in the field.
Sophmore - worked on wireless electricty research of Nikola Tesla.
Junior - worked on ternary computers.
Senior - worked on Tivo replacement, with movies on demand over the internet.

Each research opportunity completly took over my life. They all occurred when the Robotics Club at school wasn’t doing much.

Schools: Here is what I have now, please help me fill this list!
MIT - Legacy, father went there for graduate PHD.
Harvard - Brother, sister went there.
CMU - Summer.
Boston U - No particular reason, guidance conselor recommended it.
Northeastern - No reason in particular, father taught there for 7 years.
UC Berkeley - Great engineering departement.

I’m looking for some engineering schools where I can have the resources to exhaust my passion for Robotics.

Guy’s, thanks in advance for any colleges you add, or even just for responding. This forum rocks. Whew. Finally, I’m done with this ginormous post.
