3.6 GPA Transfer what are my chances into a UC?

Hey guys what UC’s can I get into with a 3.6?

I’m no expert, but I would say it depends on the school/major plus your essays

UCSD you’re in with 3.6. Berkeley doesn’t care about GPA so much. LA I think wants you done with all of your lower divs.

@IWannaMakeDrugs not for all majors - CSE majors at ucsd require at least 3.7.
@DanZCollege1212 you mentioned in your other thread that you are thinking about majoring in philosophy. If this is correct, I would say that with 3.6 you have very good chances for UCI, UCSB, UCSC, UCD, UCR, UCSD, assuming of course that you will have all of your major prep/GE completed by the time of transfer.
Now, I am a bit confused as you also mentioned that you are graduating high school in 2017. Please note that UC gpa cutoff might change by the time you decide to transfer, so aim not at 3.6, but at the highest gpa you can possibly get.
Also, some UCs do not base their decisions solely on gpa, they look at the bigger picture - grade trends, major prep, ECs… There were some people last year with 3.9-4.0 rejected by UCSD and UCLA due to missing prereqs.
