So, I got my rescore back, and its still a 3 D:. I’m still shocked because AP World was one of my easiest classes, and I had an A and A- in the semesters. Will it affect my applications to Ivy Leagues / Stanford? I really wanna go to Stanford and major in something with bio and chem…but i dont wanna hide this score because i put my effort in a year’s course just fort this. and a 3 is “passing”. although it will hurt.

AP scores aren’t used in admissions. If you don’t submit a score, they’re going to assume you failed the AP, which still probably won’t make a difference in the long run

Well that is telling if it was one of your easiest classes. It should have been one of the hardest to prepare you for the test.

Why in the world would they assume one failed the AP if he doesn’t submit a score for that particular AP class he took? I don’t think that’s true…at all. By not submitting a score, it doesn’t say anything except that there is no score on file. There are various reasons why a student wouldn’t take an AP test. Two reasons that I remember not taking certain AP tests were cost and disinterest.

I agree with AmbitiousMind07. It also asks you to submit your “best scores” on the Common App, so one may not put down something lower than a 5 or a 4 if they didn’t feel comfortable with that. I certainly didn’t.

Don’t stress about your AP scores not getting you into college. I got a 3 on APUSH as well. It wasn’t the end of the world. No worries!
