Amazing that this isnt getting more airplay. If they had been muslim this would be on a continuous loop. I think this is just the beginning, given the rhetoric of one particular candidate.
With a name like ‘The Crusaders’ do you think they knew this plan would fail right from the start? It appears these terrorists had the same mindset Dylann Roof had when he murdered 9 innocent people. What’s with this trend of white men trying to incite national violence(or attempting to ‘wake people up’) like that would solve all of their issues? Multiple families with young children could’ve been killed. It’s sickening.
I really wish more schools would work with the surrounding community to promote cross-cultural exchanges. Would solve so many issues if some were taught to see all individuals as human.
Edit: I remember having a discussion in APUSH about election outcomes if there was a terrorist attack right before the election. My answer was that it would have to depend on the race/religion of the terrorists. These 3 knew that too since their attack would’ve been Nov. 9th.
I think the media is not giving this more airplay b/c (1) they are busy with the you know what and (B) the plot was nipped in the bud, so there are no gory details… Excellent detective work. Glad that a major disaster was prevented.
Horrific. When I taught at a school populated by refugees a few years ago, most of my kids were from Somali. Once they learned enough English, they would tell me about their memories from back home. The things that these 5, 6, 7 year olds have seen would be enough to give adults grotesque nightmares and PTSD.
I am so glad they were caught.
