The Student Loan Ranger receives quite a few emails from student loan borrowers who want to know if they will be required to pay back their loans even if they aren’t working in their field. Others aren’t happy with the quality of the education they received or just don’t think it was worth the debt.

Ha!

An aquaintance of ours has a sizeable old student loan from private trade school that taught some sort of auto body repair/paint. Never worked in that field. Still paying for the loan.

Funny but sad that some would think that they don’t have to pay the loan back if they aren’t working in their field.

I imagine that with hindsight being 20/20, many don’t think their educations were worth the debt.
