Do you agree with the ranking? What campuses are missing from the list?

I’ll nominate Fordham.

IMO, Lehigh is missing.
I also think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder for some of these campuses ; )

I think Univ of Michigan is misplaced. I’m surprised that Miami of Ohio is not on there; it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in the country.

Other schools that typically make these lists but are not on there: UCLA, Baylor, Indiana, Ole Miss…

Really, they picked Stanford as the prettiest? It is so blah (and I am an alum). UCB is so much prettier!

I had this exact same thought! So many prettier campuses in my opinion. Of the ones on their list that I know, Wellesley, Bryn Mawr and Kenyon are all prettier campuses.

Subjective of course - but U Wash - not that nice. UGA is nice but not Bama nice.

Where are the nicest large college - Va Tech and nicest mid size - Duke ?

But we all think differently for sure.

Union College in Schenectady is a registered arboretum. Beautiful campus.

I’ve never been to UC Boulder. That campus way very well be gorgeous. However, the picture they posted for UC Boulder looks like a Soviet tractor factory.

I thought the campus was a little bland, but the mountain views are pretty.

CU Boulder is very pretty but the layout is a bit strange IMO.

What have you got against Soviet tractor factories?

Yes, and any eye of any beholder who nominates a campus that doesn’t include generous amounts of Brutalism is clearly blind!

Holy Cross in Worcester, MA is a registered arboretum as well. Gorgeous campus with buildings on the National Register of Historic Places and fabulous contemporary Performing Arts Center designed by NYC architect Diller Scofidio +Renfro. Something for everyone but it works! Usually lands in someone’s most beautiful campus list.

I attended USD and I loved studying there! The ocean views from my corner room were fantastic!!!

I agree, @auntbea. USD is the most beautiful campus I’ve ever seen.

Pratt Institute is interesting. In a historic neighborhood in Brooklyn. The campus by itself is the largest outdoor sculpture park in NYC. Worth a visit for that reason alone.

I think you mean so much grittier!

Most of the pictures are quite blah, I would have thought they’d have been able to find better ones, maybe they just cheaped out on the image licensing fees?

Glad someone else said that about Stanford. I’ve been a few times and didn’t think it’s that nice.

Now Syracuse

And U of Arizona is waaaaaaaaaaay nicer than UW in Seattle…as are many schools. The red square - in my opinion - not nice at all.

Miami of Ohio is a quintessential college campus! Really lovely
