31 ACT Score

<p>I’m a sophomore and took the ACT as a baseline test without any practicing or studying and got a 31. Will I be able to raise my grade with studying? I want to get at least a 34. </p>

<p>Also, do you think a 31 is good for these colleges and others at a similar level: UMich, WashU, Emory, Duke, UNC, Penn, and Cornell?</p>

<p>And will getting a 34 (or higher) increase my chances at these schools?</p>

<p>31 is on the low side for Duke, Penn, UNC (out of state), Cornell, and WashU I think. (But you still have a shot provided a great GPA) a 34 would probably be more inline with who they are looking to admit.</p>
