32ACT cs suggestions?

Hi guys
I’m international student and I’m currently making a list to apply for.
I want to major cs or cyber security.
Since I’m internatuonal student I must pay OOS and no loans my annual affordable tution(not including food, room) must be under 27k.
I’m looking foward to get scholarships.
I would really aplreciate if you guys give me any advice or suggestions
test score:32act,no gpa(top 30% class)
I think my gpa is around 3.5
EC:Infornation olympiad medals(8,9,11th grade),
Computer programming club,45 hours volunteer
Security Education for the Gifted(I think this is very unique.)

If there are any schools fit for me please comment  thank you!!

I would encourage you to look into the University of Texas at Dallas. They have a fantastic computer science program. My brother attends there, and he majored in computer science and is now getting his masters in cyber security. Also, UTD has a significant international population.

The tuition without a scholarship is $31,000+ for this next school year, BUT - your ACT score puts you right in the running for an Academic Achievement scholarship that would pay full tuition AND give you a stipend. They award these scholarships based on your entire application, but you have a competitive ACT for them.

Good luck!

IF your weighted GPA is 3.5, then your ACT 32 would get you free tuition plus 2500 at Alabama.

As an int’l, keep in mind that at ALL colleges you’ll need to purchase health insurance (about $2k-3k per year) and you’ll have to show funding for your college expenses not covered by awards. You’ll also have int’l travel costs.

Those extra costs can add a lot to the bottom line.

thanks.
@nutmeg_shippy @mom2collegekids
My parents can pay 45k/yr.
I’m wondering to work at us after graduation so I should consider employment rate, salary etc…

Employment rate and salary reports won’t be relevant to you because you’d an int’l. Many companies won’t hire int’ls.

@mom2collegekids I contacted U of A and was told that they used the GPA sent by the school, and do not do recalculation, given school normally includes electives such as PE, isn’t the 3.5 requirement for scholarship pretty low?

Few people complain when the school really wants to give students money to attend.

“I contacted U of A and was told that they used the GPA sent by the school, and do not do recalculation, given school normally includes electives such as PE, isn’t the 3.5 requirement for scholarship pretty low?”

And your point is???

I am sorry, my question is whether they truly include electives such as PE for GPA calculation? I am just surprise as I thought the 3.5 will be quite easy to obtain…and why would anyone want to take AP ? Probably I should open another thread.

I don’t have gpa. 3.5 was my guess
