The May SAT is coming up, and I am curious what do other people do when there are 36 hours until the exam. I am reviewing the Direct Hits 2011, SparkNotes 1000, and Barron’s HF.
Everyday I weak up at 6:00 AM and start a practice test.

1) By the way, I suppose that Ti-89 are allowed, aren’t they?

2) Would it look weird if I will have 3 calculators on my desk?

3) I also have a little–not very little–watches with NO alarm. According to the College Board, any watches without alarm are permitted, aren’t they?

Thanks!

i do some questions try to read a little btw where you are you applying to you do know that most of the better schools enroll in the fall? usually state universities and such have rolling admissions

I will apply to many universities
I am junior now. Because I will apply as ED/EA applicant, this is my last SAT.

oh well this is my first time i was planning on taking the subject tests in june but figured that since the mediocre and the inferior universities are the only ones accepting for the spring the subject tests arent necessary so i’ll be taking a few more exams in the fall. i actually graduated last year and started my degree in pharamay but took a gap year figured you might as well try and chase your dreams! an ed for when? for spring? what universities do you have in mind?

Um…I don’t really know what does “ED for spring” mean but I can say that I will attend the college in fall of 2012 thus, making me a class of 2016 guy
I don’t really know; it depends on many factors, one of which is the SAT I. I will also take 3 subjects in this June: Math IIC, Physics, and Chemistry. However, as of now, the SAT is my first concern.

ok but aren’t you going to apply in november? august first is the common deadline for universities that apply students in the spring of 2012

Yes, I will apply in October/November. How about my questions about SAT day?

Im just slowly plowing through a few practice questions, will write an essay or smth, just to keep my skills sharp. I’ll also revise all the words that i learned, which is not much, 200 or so.

What score are you aiming for btw?

if you look at the common app you can see that the better universities have their rd in jan or ed which is important to you after nov meaning you have one more test date i.e in october you can take the subject tests then
i got no idea where i’ll land but i’ll probably take the the sat again in june and in november if necessary as for the subject test i’ll have to take them in october and apply before jan
cmon where do you want to apply? going through vocab eh? i was actually planning on trying to write an essay template but i’ll probably skip that would be nice to have an extra 15 mins on the essay :D

I’ll apply to a lot of schools, mainly in california or somewhere west because i love it there. My tops schools: UCLA, USC, maybe Berkeley and UT Austin. Not so top: Santa Clara univ, U of Arizona, UC I and a few others.

are you an international students cause the uc system is pretty nasty towards inter. st.
may i ask how old you are and what your major will be?

Anything above a 2000 would be good
I will do a complete practice test and then review my vocabulary.

As for the essay, I have already prepared many universal examples ahead so all I have to do is to plug two of them in.

I save the October SAT for subjects. Because I can’t take APs here, I need to take as many SAT IIs as possible. (estimated amount: 6)

oh ok well i’m not completely sure where i’ll get accepted cause in sweden the national board of student aid gives us like $27k/y which can cover a a mediocre school or approx a third of a good one so i’ll guess i’ll have to get some fin aid from the universities which obviously is pretty hard

A quick look at DH, a review of maths concepts, a refresher of the basic writing rules, revise my essay examples.

^
How about taking a full-length practice test?

P.S It seems like no one but me takes a full practice test =/

vous etes francais n’est ce pas?

i’ve taken a few but i got no idea how good i’ll do on saturday but the thing that’s currently bothering me is that i NEEED (!) a silent stopwatch

I don’t speak French. I dropped my French classed 4 months ago hahaha :)

silent stop-watch?!

When I was on my January SAT, the proctor heself used watches with alarm!
