I am in the eighth grade and today I received my test scores. They are as follows:
Composite 28
English 23
Mathematics 27
Reading 24
Science 36
The 36 in science made me wonder about what I need to do. I am going to apply to LSMSA (The Math and Science academy for Louisiana), however I was told that I could apply for college now. I am conflicted with this decision and where or what to do next. Please give me advice. Will the 36 in science give me recruitment messages? I know this is not an large matter, but is it for being in the eight grade.
Thanks,
Ben
What do you mean by “apply for college now”? You’re in the 8th grade, I don’t see how you can apply for colleges just yet. And a 28 is pretty good for 8th grade so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks
@wwb000 Congratulations on the 36 and 28. Definitely apply for LSMSA. Don’t concern yourself with college at this point. Like outlooker said, I don’t see how you can apply for colleges without a HS diploma. You need to focus alot more on English and Reading as well. Math will improve with more schooling. My S(also 8th grade) received his today and got a composite 33. Did you also take the writing test? I think last year there were about 70 8th graders who achieved a 36 in 1 subsection so you should be very proud, especially since so many considered Science to be the most difficult.
