VeryHappy, love that story. Thanks for sharing. Even though it was not the happy event it was originally intended to be, it does make for a great memory.

Have a Very Happy birthday! I was just thinking of how many friends I have with November birthdays. Then I counted back nine months-- February. Okay, that makes sense. ;)

My youngest was born 9 months after Valentine’s Day, which is the day H and I got engaged. The other day she figured it all out and kept saying, “Eww! Eww!” I was surprised it took her 13 years to get it. But it was pretty funny.

My best birthday present EVER was on my 30th. I had gone into labor two weeks early, the morning before my birthday. Things moved slowly, and at 11 pm, the nurse told me I could start pushing. I thought, “I want the baby to come on my birthday, though!” and I actually didn’t try very hard. My firstborn arrived at 12:10 am on my 30th birthday. I have to keep our birthdates straight - x/x/1962 and x/x/1992. Sometimes I switch them! And my son always knows how old I am and doesn’t mind telling everyone!

A few years back, I wrote a long letter to my favorite childhood piano teacher, telling her this story, among others. She wrote back, “Didn’t you know that my daughter was born on my 30th birthday??” Pretty cool.
