If any of you get New York Times Magazine…check out the very last page…It’s about a kid who is applying early and who worked for MIT this summer…oh well, thats one less spot left for the rest of us…

ahaha… and then take all the RSI kids…

oh man, im not getting in…

If I remember from the posts last year, because of their connection to MIT and believing they’ll get in there anyway, a lot of the RSI kids applied early to Harvard, Yale and Stanford.

we can only hope…

out of curiosity… what is this kid’s name? Do you have a link to the article?

RSI???(sorry just had to fill up space)

Here’s a link to the article

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/11/28/magazine/28LIVES.html

RSI = Research Science Institute www.cee.org

yea, most of the RSI people I know are donig harvard ea, id say like only 10-20 out of 100 are doing MIT EA. maybe?

haha…379 spots left for me…

lol this is funny…

richard…there’s like less than 10 ppl doing MIT early

and WHAT…MIT only takes 400 EA applicants!!! thaaaaaaat’s insane!

who was the lucky rickoid that TIME did the article on.

It wasn’t a Rickoid, just a high school student who apparently lives nearby.

why is it only 400, i don’t understand?

On Matt McGann’s blog, it was mentioned that they would only be accepting about 400 students early this year.

sigh…a higher source corrected me in saying that there are at least 20 Rickoids applying to MIT EA; thus I withdrew my post saying that only less than 10 are applying.

darned RSI people. /me points

If there are 20+ rickoids applying, do you think maybe theyll reject 1 (~95+% acceptance)? thatd be a scary thought

who knows, the process is so random…
