These are my 9th grade grades. My school has 3 semesters:

Term 1: 10 A's 2A’s. The average is 95%
Term 2: 10 A's 1A 1D (physics). The average is 91%
Term 3: 10 A*'s 2B’s (raised the physics to a B). The average is 92%

And the overall average is an A. It is a 93% (10A's 1A 1B).

My school has 90%+ as A*
80%+=A
70%+=B
60%+=C
50%+=D

My question is, does my A* as my average equal to a 4.0 (according to my school’s scale),or is it 93/100 and converted to about a 3.7-3.8?

Each class is counted individually. You don’t just use the average. Your term 2 would be 4x11+2x1=46/12=3.83. Do the same for Term 3. And you really take 12 subjects in school?

@"Erin’s Dad" Thank you very much. And yup, for 9th grade we take 12 subjects, basically every single humanities and science subject offered is obligatory.

Since you raised the score so much, and had an over all A, it shows how you worked at it. Great essay talking about how you overcame the physics D…
