Since there are multiple versions to the test, i thought that it might be convenient if i start a thread for the SAT test with the algae passage only.

so if u guys have any questions, ask away. =]

hmm ok i had this one. i left the 5 circles question blank, got (2n+1)(3n-11) wrong bc i didnt count zero as an integer, umm that cup one was C, the 3 ppl who own a business was x/5, anyone disagree or remember anymore?

for the (2n+1)(3n-11) question, was the question worded positive integers or non-negative integers?

This is ILLEGAL! You guys signed an agreement to never discuss the test with anyone. You are legally bound to cease posting.

I know, you do it with your friends–so does everybody else, but don’t invalidate your credentials so blindly.

Sorry jackpot, that’s just how we roll on CC…if you don’t like it then leave. Rules were made to be broken mother*****!!!;)

yea evil_asian i really wish it was positive integers but i dont think it was. and even negative ones would make it positive so it was probably just integers. 0,1,2,3 are the only ones that work but of course i put three. remember any others?

yeah, the answer is 4. even if it said all integers, it wouldnt matter. and for the cup one, i believe it was the distance between the top of one cup to the top of the cup below it. dont’ remember which letter that was. but pretty sure the answer is rite.

for the 5 circles one, u had to draw vertical and horizontal diameters in 4 big circles to create a square, then u draw the diagonal in the square, so u see that each side of the square is 2, so the diagonal is 2sqrt(2). then u subtract the 2 large radii along the diagonal, leaving u with the diameter of the small circle as 2sqrt(2) - 2, then u divide by 2 to get the radius, or sqrt(2) - 1. i think that was C or D.

were there any particularly challenging CR questions?

and just wondering, was the experimental section for this test a writing section?

I thought one that was ambiguous (CR) was why the author mentioned that the coepeds would want to be transparent.

Because the sentence before that one talked about how it was an abundant small predator or something, and the sentence after that was like “it moves in jerks, eating its prey.” So I don’t know why most people put it was to avoid their predators.

well, there was a sentence after that one (probably 3 sentences after) that stated that the coepeds didnt like to eat the bioluminescent alga b/c it’ll give away their positions.
