<p>I just submitted my FAFSA when it was already 4 hours past 12 PM EST. Will colleges care if it’s four hours too late? Damn Eastern time and damn the deadline on the day of the Super Bowl</p>

<p>Colleges want as many high-quality applicants as they can reasonably process, so deadlines are often soft. There are many reasons for lateness, including belatedly discovering a school. Agree, do not worry.</p>
<p>Well one of my finaid apps was a whole month late (Cornell), so I wonder how much that would affect my status haha</p>
