42 Hour Business Challenge

The Society of Business Engineers is hosting the 2nd annual 42BC, a 42 hour business challenge in which engineering and business students are teamed together in groups of 4 to 6 and given a problem statement in their choice of Green Energy, Health, or High Tech, and are given 42 hours to devise a business solution to this problem. After 42 hours the solutions are presented to a panel of judges, including professors, industry experts, and venture capitalists. The event starts at 6:30 PM on March 11th, and will run until March 13th.

Teams are not limited to only business and engineering students, students from all disciplines can participate. However, we strongly prefer to have at least one engineering and at least one business student in each group. If you do not have a group you can still register and we will place you in one. Alumni of the past 3 years may participate, as well as all current undergraduates and graduate students.

The goal of the challenge is to help engineering students develop a business acumen, and to help business students develop an engineering acumen. In total there are $1500 in prize money awarded to the top teams ($500 for the top team in each category).
