does anyone happen to know the current number of davidson applications for the class of 2012; moreover, how many ed applicants were accepted this year and out of how large of an ed pool? i applied to swarthmore ed 2 and was rejected, and i wish i had instead applied to davidson under an ed decision, it was my gut feeling, but i was foolish and i didn’t. so i’m just curious as to whether or not these current statistics are available; i know this is the place for me and i really want to come here; my visitation to the college both in the summer and during discover davidson weekened with the overnight option truly left me with a positive impression of the school.

I haven’t seen any numbers published so far this year.

Schools don’t usually release application numbers until after the RD decisions are out but I would assume numbers were up at Davidson as they were at many schools. Assuming you have applied RD to Davidson you might send a brief note reiterating your interest, essentially saying what you said in your post but without referring to your rejection at Swarthmore. The timing isn’t great–a little like a last minute phone for a date in the old days–but it might help if your application is strong anyway.
