I’m going to be a EE freshmen this upcoming fall and right now I’m enrolled in math32a, chem20a, and cs31. In high school i took AP chem and did well, and took multivariable (for no credit-_-). How many hours/week on average should i expect to have and is there a 4th class i can take?

The time on avg really depends on the person so theres no clear answer there.

I recommend you hold back on taking a 4th class for now. You have no idea what the rigor of college is like, so take 3 classes and focus on doing well in those.

BTW, having done well in HS doesn’t mean much. In all likelyhood, everybody in your classes more than likely “did well” during high school.

If you want, maybe a seminar or something of 1 or 2 units can be a good choice.

The whole hours/week on average… is really dependent on you. You can always take physics or another math class. Just throwing it in there…

But my recommendation is you actually put in a fourth class. Try it out for like the first two weeks. The deadline to drop the class without it being recorded is probably October 12…

So if by that time, you feel like you can’t handle it, just drop it. If you can, then go for it.
